We all know for a product to be successful it needs to constantly evolve to meet the customers changing requirements. As a SMART Technologies Edge partner
we attended an event at SMARTs excellent Moorgate demo facility and got a great view of the shape of things to come.
Firstly we saw some great developments around the SMART Kapp IQ system. You can now transfer notes from a kapp to a Kapp-iQ for meeting continuation, this means any note that you make on a standard 42” or 84” Kapp can now be transferred to a SMART Kapp-iQ board. In the future Kapp-iQ will allow Analog to Digital capture which effectively means if you make notes on a napkin in a restaurant this can be transferred digitally into the KAPP meeting session via a mobile device, we think this is very cool feature!
SMART Ink is now a free feature when using the KAPP-iQ in desktop mode, this enables you now to make direct annotations into applications like Adobe Acrobat, it also has greater variation and control in type of pens and even telling the panel your finger is a pen.
These changes in SMART Ink obviously translate to the flagship SMART 8000 range with the future holding improvements like Name & Date tagging to ink annotations which we think is great for Architect / Project Management users.
There’s so much coming down the line we can’t tell you about right now but watch this space, things are getting a whole lot more interesting with SMART!
