CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS
The CLC had established a Broadband Wide Area Radio Network and was looking to implement a Video Conferencing Facility for some of the schools to access live lessons from the CLC and the local BAE factory who supported the project.
The CLC also wanted to share resources with other schools on the Network and gain access to training facilities at BAE.
ISSUES RAISED
Radio line of site was not available at all of the sites which necessitated the use of a tall building as a relay site. Council approval was required for the deployment of the equipment.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
Rapid Technologies provided a PictureTel Video Conferencing Solution for ten schools, one CLC and the BAE factory.
The solution was set up in such a way that multiple parties could participate in a single Video Conferencing session via a Conferencing Bridge installed at the CLC.
