CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTS
The LEA received £300,000.00 funding from BECTA to provide interactive whiteboards and projectors to schools across the authority.
ISSUES RAISED
All installations had to be completed within an allotted two month period, with much of the work requiring completion outside of teaching hours.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
Rapid Technologies:
- supplied and installed Smartboard 560 and Smartboard 580 interactive whiteboards with NEC VT575 projectors to most secondary schools across the authority.
- supplied and installed the remaining secondary schools with Promethean Activ 78" interactive whiteboards.
- ceiling mounted all projectors and wall mounted the Smart and Promethean interactive whiteboards.
- terminated all cables in a wall box with built-in video splitter allowing connection of VCRs and DVD players.
- provided training for the interactive whiteboards to assist in the introduction of the new technology to teachers throughout the authority.
Rapid Technologies completed all of the installations within the allotted two month schedule with much of the work being completed outside of teaching hours.
