CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTS
The Client required a large screen projector and a projection screen with audio for the main reception hall/play area.
ISSUES RAISED
As the main hall was also used for sports the projection screen needed to be retractable.
The solution had to allow for the concealment of AV inputs i.e. PC and VCR/DVD player.
The ceiling was curved which presented mounting issues.
The installation had to be completed within a two-week time frame due to a pre-arranged official launch of the Centre.
The projector had to be secure from theft.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
Rapid Technologies:
- provided a large venue hall projector and retractable motorised projection screen. This allowed the Centre to retract the screen in its housing when not in use or if the hall was being used for sports. The AV inputs were terminated in a separate room. A PC and VCR/DVD Combo player were also housed in this room.
- installed a wireless keyboard and mouse so that the user did not have to be in front of the PC but was able to control the PC from the hall.
- installed an amp and speakers so that the Centre could see and hear video content in the hall.
- installed secure housing for the projector with a motion sensitive integrated alarm.
The installation was conducted using scaffolding in order to comply with current Health and Safety working at heights legislation.
