CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTS
The Client required a mobile satellite system that would enable its IT training bus to acquire internet access from any geographical location within the UK.
ISSUES RAISED
Due to the fact that the bus should not be driven with the satellite dish deployed, RapidSat linked a siren to the mobile satellite system and the ignition switch of the bus to reduce the possibility of human error.
SOLUTION PROVIDED
RapidSat:
- supplied, installed and commissioned a Two-Way satellite system with a retractable satellite dish and an embedded GPS satellite finder.
- supplied a service of 1Mbit/s downlink and 512kbit/s uplink.
- supplied training for the IT bus operators.
