THE NORTH WEST’S MOST PRESTIGIOUS BUSINESS EVENT - Post Review
17th & 18th June 2008: Echo Arena
In June of 2008 Rapid Technologies, along with select partners including Epson, Toshiba, Extricom, Dams & Lapjacks presented the Office Of The Future at the launch of the LDP Business HUB at the newly built Echo Arena in Liverpool.
The second of the company’s big events to take place at the Arena, Rapid Technologies were amongst a number of elite businesses offering corporate solutions for the contemporary small-medium sized business.
Billed as “...the most important and dynamic business event in the region, fulfilling the needs of the contemporary city’s thriving business community” (Mark Thomas, Editor of the Liverpool Daily Post), the event attracted a number of business professionals and entrepreneurs from across the UK.
AT HOME WITH THE JETSONS?
In conjunction with a select number of partners, Rapid Technologies attended the event with their contemporary twist on the “Office Of The Future.” More JIT than Jetsons, the stand featured an office solution, provided by premier furniture supplier DAMS, which would place the modern executive in a comfortable but practical working environment with access to the latest digital communications technologies and corporate branding.
Bridging the gap between flexible working and the executive on the move, the stand illustrated mobility via the wireless networking solutions from Extracom which seamlessly integrated with the high-end laptop technologies provided by the global number one brand Toshiba to enable working in anytime and anyplace. For the modern boy’s toy and the latest in branded technology chic, Lapjacks featuring company branding or a chosen design were available to sample to personalise technologies from laptops to ipods for synchronised branding or just for sticking out of the crowd, with optional built in security methods for the businessperson on the move.
Bridging the gap between the office and the desktop further, attendees were invited to step into tomorrow’s world today to experience the capabilities of digital video conferencing with a solution offered by Polycom to enable those executives within the office to travel across time and space to attend meetings where and when they are required with the comfort of never having to leave their contemporary comfortable office as demonstrated on the stand, though arguably losing on air miles attendees would be home in time for tea!
To complete the office solution Epson demonstrated the latest in office technologies with their projector solution, with attention to detail provided by accurate pin point detail, the Office Of The Future utilised a projector solution which seamlessly integrated with the office environment and the requirement of quality technology.
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The LDP Business HUB event is a new exhibition which took place at the luxurious Liverpool Echo Arena over two days. Featuring distinguished key note speakers, an interactive learning zone, live debates and plenty of networking opportunities the event was not to be missed by any business decision maker with their finger on the pulse. Flanked by an exhibition hall with a number of business specialists, including Rapid Technologies and partners, the event offered a complete business solution to meet the requirements of any business.

MERIT - Interactive Meeting Room Technologies

Rapid Technologies would like to thank all those who attended their Interactive Meeting Room Technologies event this week on Wednesday 30th February 2008. Hosted by Merit at the Liverpool Digital Offices on Edge Lane in Liverpool the event proved a great success with a presence provided by a range of organizations across the UK.
Located within close proximity to the Capital of Culture's town centre, the Merit office provided an ideal location for all attendees with a full array of Interactive technologies on display and available for attendees to experience and test.
Starting with networking opportunities, Colin Birchall proceeded to present the latest interactive meeting room technologies for the contemporary business. Providing attendees with an overview of the market place and the available types of interactive technologies for the contemporary business, Colin discussed the advantages these technologies provide before conducting a live video conferencing session with attendees. Linking up with offices in the South of England, Colin conducted a video conference session to demonstrate in live format the clarity of both sound and vision which is provided by the available technologies on the market.
Continuing the presentation, Colin introduced the role of the interactive whiteboard within business which he had been using throughout the presentation and discussed the capabilities of the modern day whiteboard as an essential boardroom item. Throughout the presentation interactivity was encouraged from all participants via the use of voting tools which all participants controlled, although it was made clear that that unlike who wants to be a millionaire that there wasn’t the possibility of winning £1,000,000.00!
After the presentation questions were invited from the audience, before a second opportunity to network over a full buffet lunch as well as experience and test the technologies demonstrated. All attendees were provided with promotional give-aways to take with them after the event as well as a full pack of brochures and product details
